Gadigal Hall is a beautifully refurbished space with timber floorboards, full width glass panels and doors that open out onto an internal communal courtyard. There is also an internal communal courtyard available for shared use by all venue hirers. The internal courtyard has a kitchenette, full size fridge, microwave, filtered cold and boiling water, and shared seating. This area provides direct access to the toilets and to the outdoor courtyard, which all guests have access to (except when booked). Note, hirers need to supply their own plates, cups, and utensils.
It is well suited to meetings, dance classes, movie screenings, celebrations, performances, and other community-style activities.
Gadigal Hall also has a large electronic screen and ceiling mounted data projector and speakers available for hire, perfect for movie screenings and presentations. A microphone is also available for hire. The ceiling is acoustically treated to prevent echo and provide good sound quality. There are 100 comfortable chairs, 20 tables on wheels, and a whiteboard for your use. Free WiFi is also provided for all guests to use.
Lockers are available for regular hire for a small additional fee.
Access:
The venue is single level and is fully accessible with ramps and accessible toilet.
Gadigal Hall can be accessed via the front entrance using your secure PIN code - no need to collect a key!
Refundable bond:
A refundable bond of $400 is payable for all bookings. This is automatically refunded after seven days, provided the premises have been left clean and tidy, and there is is no damage or missing items).
Insurance:
Public Liability insurance for $20M is required for all bookings. If you don't have your own policy, you may be eligible to be covered under our insurance. For large events (including all activities in Gadigal Hall) or higher risk activities, the cost of using our insurance cover is $100. Please note that our insurer places additional conditions on its cover. You will not be able to use our insurance if your event involves alcohol, child related activities, or contact sports. In these situations, you will need to seek your own insurance elsewhere.
