Portuguese Social Group
AGED CARE

A meeting place for seniors from Portuguese speaking backgrounds, to connect through social interaction, games, exercise, information sessions, monthly bus outings and cultural celebrations-including music dancing and shared lunches.

Our social group is facilitated by Portuguese speaking staff and volunteers who aim to provide a friendly environment where members feel welcomed, are enabled to continue living independently, and remain connected to their community.

When: Thursdays from 9am to 1pm
Where: Newtown Neighbourhood Centre, 11-13 Darley Street Newtown

Eligibility: 
  • This service is for people from Portuguese speaking backgrounds aged 65 and over, who live in the Inner West Sydney Local Government area (and surrounding suburbs).
  • Must be referred for CHSP Group Social Support via My Aged Care

Um ponto de encontro para idosos de origem portuguesa, para se conectarem através de interação social, jogos, exercícios, sessões informativas, passeios mensais de ônibus e celebrações culturais - incluindo música, dança e almoços compartilhados.
​
Nosso grupo social é facilitado por funcionários e voluntários que falam português, que visam proporcionar um ambiente amigável onde os membros se sintam bem-vindos, possam continuar a viver de forma independente e permanecer conectados à sua comunidade.
 
Quando: quintas-feiras, das 9h às 13h
Onde: Newtown Neighborhood Centre, 11-13 Darley St, Newtown.

 
Este serviço é para pessoas de língua portuguesa com 65 anos ou mais, que moram na área do governo local de Inner West Sydney (e subúrbios vizinhos).
