Programs You Will Be Championing As a Newtopian Champion, your partnership directly funds the programs at the heart of NNC’s work. Your support makes sure young people are mentored through the leap to high school, people sleeping rough are walked alongside into housing and our Drop-In Hub and One Stop Shop continue to provide vital connection and support every week. Newtopian Outreachers – From Streets to Home Our volunteers walk Newtown’s streets every week, building trust through conversation and providing practical support to people sleeping rough, with the ultimate goal of moving people into housing. Since 2018, 80 locals have been trained as Outreachers, creating a ripple effect of awareness and empathy across the Inner West. Through this work, around 215 people have moved from rough sleeping into a home, proof that grassroots community action leads to real change. Drop-In Hub Open to everyone, the Hub is a safe, welcoming place where people can: - Access housing and homelessness referrals - Get help with food, Centrelink, legal and wellbeing support - Use computers, phones, and join social groups - Simply sit in a shaded courtyard and connect with others One Stop Shop Every Thursday afternoon, more than a dozen services come together at NNC so people can access what they need in one place: housing, health, legal, Centrelink, domestic violence support, NDIS advice, and more. Around 60 people attend each week. Peer Bridge Program This year, Peer Bridge will support 80 students across four primary schools as they transition from primary to high school. Students are paired with Year 9 mentors, supported by youth workers, and guided through workshops and excursions that build resilience, confidence, and friendships. 
Partnership Levels Newtopian Friend – $1,200/year ($100/month) Funds the basics that make a big difference, from tea and coffee to program resources - keeping our four programs open and running smoothly each day. Newtopian Ally – $2400/year ($200/month) Funds meaningful activities across our four programs such as outings for clients, Peer Bridge workshops, and community events, while also supporting training for Peer Bridge mentors, Newtopian Outreachers, and volunteers in the Hub and One Stop Shop. Newtopian Legend – $3,600/year ($300/month) Provides major backing for NNC’s work giving us the ability to grow proven programs, introduce new approaches, ensuring lasting solutions that move people from homelessness into safe and secure housing.
