INFORMATION AND REFERRAL
Following the recommendations from the Department of Health and in ensuring we are looking after our staff, volunteers and clients safety, Newtown Neighbourhood Centre has temporarily closed its front doors.
While our face to face service is no longer available, we are still here to support those who need it during this lockdown period. Our staff are accessible via phone 10am – 4pm Monday to Thursday on 9564 7333.
If you or someone you know may be in need of assistance, please contact us today. We are also regularly updating key information sheets during the lockdown: Support and Emergency Aid, and Meals and Food Services.
We are also keeping updated lists of places that are providing COVID vaccinations: Newtown Area Clinics and Pharmacies, Marrickville Area Clinics and Pharmacies, Hubs around Sydney.
Our team will also continue to offer outreach support and assistant clients outside of the Centre and we have also placed our food pantry along with useful information sheets at the doors of the building.
Link2Home is also offering temporary accommodation for anyone who is rough sleeping during this lockdown period and have increased their flexibility for people experiencing other forms of homelessness. They are available via phone on 1800 152 152 (free call).
We hope everyone remains safe during these challenging times.

Every Thursday between 2-4pm, Newtown Neighbourhood Centre (NNC) hosts a weekly One Stop Shop, bringing together a hub of essential services including Centrelink and Housing NSW, who can provide face-to-face assistance to all members of the community.
