Help Newtown locals in need right now

Over the holidays, many of us are preparing for celebrations, shopping  from local businesses, and looking forward to seeing friends and family.

Unfortunately for some, this time of the year can be extremely challenging and isolating. Many Newtown locals are feeling the pinch amid soaring costs of living and not everyone has a safe place to call home.

On average, more than 10 people a day access Newtown Neighbourhood Centre’s Information and Referral Service. Many of these individuals are facing homelessness and need help accessing low-cost housing, Centrelink, emergency aid and case management.

When people are in crisis, our team connects them to vital services and ensures they receive the support they need.
