Boarding House Outreach Service (BHOS)
The Boarding House Outreach Services (BHOS) is a Specialist Homelessness Service that provides case management support to people living in general boarding houses across six Inner West Local Government Areas (LGAs), including parts of the City of Sydney, the Inner West Council, Canterbury-Bankstown, Burwood, Canada Bay and Strathfield.
The Boarding House Outreach Service is staffed by a manager and a team leader, who support a team of case workers. Service eligibility
Case Management support for Boarding House We deliver case management services through an outreach model, where we have the option to meet clients in a variety of community settings, as well as at the Newtown Neighbourhood Centre. We work in partnership with clients to address and resolve the underlying causes of housing insecurity and other related goals such as health access, community participation, and other services that improve wellbeing. As part of our case management service, clients are supported to access both mainstream and specialist services. Support we provide?
Community Transitions ProgramBHOS have a specialist community transitions case manager who supports people pre and post release from correctional facilities, who want to reside in a boarding house and receive case management support.
