Greek Speaking Community
The
Multicultural Neighbour Aid Project provides opportunities for practical
and emotional support for people from the Greek Speaking Community
who are elderly, frail aged and their carers to meet and socialise with
others. The project enables people to continue to live independently at
home and to remain active and involved members in their communities. The
services are available to people who live in Marrickville and the
surrounding areas.
Cost:
There
is a small charge towards some of the services that we
provide. A waiting list applies for some services.
Have you got a few hours to volunteer once a week? The Multicultural Neighbour Aid project is always looking for volunteers to assist and support the project!
Volunteers can take on a variety of roles including:
- Assisting with administrative duties
- Organising fun programs segments and games
- Serving Tea and coffee and having a chat to clients
- Catering
- Setting up the hall
No experience is necessary and training and support is provided.
