Changes To The 2008 Newtown Festival

2006 saw some much needed changes to the Festival in order to provide a safer environment for all festival patrons, staff, local residents and the community. Whilst these changes were not without some controversy, the success of the festival speaks for itself and it is clear that these changes were in fact well received and much appreciated by all.

Changes implemented in 2006 will again be here for the 2008 Newtown Festival. They include:

  • Site Fencing
  • No BYO alcohol
  • Strictly no glass on the festival site

The Newtown Neighbourhood Centre wants to thank everyone for their support and co-operation in making the changes positive ones and thanks you all in advance for your continued co-operation. That’s what makes this area so unique – the community working together for the community.
