At the Centre's 30th birthday celebration held in November 2007, the Mayor, Councillor Dimitrios Thanos from Marrickville Council informed the community that the Centre is going to receive a major upgrade and included in this modification NNC will get a lift. This is indeed fantastic news, it will be mean that we have a building that is truly open and accessible to the whole community.
All of us here at the Centre would like to thank the staff and councillors at Marrickville Council who understand that we must have equal participation if we want to have a fair society. The Centre would especially like to thank Gary Moore and Michael Wilson for their hard work and would also like to say a big thank you to Danielle Notara whose hard work, dedication and skills were instrumental in this campaign.
