Why:
We hold issues-based Community BBQs during the summer months. Each BBQ provides information on a topic of community interest. This can be on issues of public health and wellbeing, a chance to showcase a new service in the area or to provide public education. The BBQ offers a relaxed milieu for people to meet with service providers to learn more. Recent BBQ topics have included Hepatitis C control, No interest Loan Schemes to enable low income earners to obtain whitegoods, employment for homeless people with "The Big Issue" and education opportunities available through from community colleges.
