ALI Project
Active Linking Initiative (ALI) Project- Funded by the Department of Ageing, Disability and Homecare, the Active Linking Initiative provides support and assistance to residents of licensed residential centre's to have access to programs that provide an opportunity to develop and /or enhance individual skills and interests featuring promoting social inclusion and community involvement.
The Ali program includes Sportsability which is an active sports program which includes soccer and indoor lawn bowls- this is held every Wednesday in Marrickville. We also have shopping bus and coffee socials which assist residents to do their personal shopping or just get out for a cup of tea. We also have a partnership with the Sydney Street choir which gives the residents an opportunity to showcase their singing talents! There is an in-house afternoon provided and run be a couple of volunteers which can mean anything from guitar playing and singing to a game of cards.
